Bikram
This morning I went to my first Bikram yoga class in four years. The first experience was so horrible that it took me this long to feel like I would be willing to give it another shot. To say that four years ago I was slightly out of shape, over weight and unhealthy, compared to where I am at today, would be an understatement. I felt like with all of the positive changes I have made in my life over the years, maybe this time it wouldn’t be so bad.
I. LOVED. IT.
The class flew by. I worked hard, dripped sweat, felt all of my muscles in my body shaking but it felt amazing. It was just what I needed to feel like I worked hard, but also stretched me out oh so good. My hips, hamstrings and quads are particularly tight on me and I have been meaning to start attending yoga classes but just haven’t found the time to really make it a priority. Now, I definitely will make it a priority. So much so that I am going back on Thursday and will be buying a punch card so that it will force me to attend the classes twice a week. Just what this runner’s body needs!

Now that the weather is cooler, I may go to Bikram again. I do love it. I’ve been going to yoga weekly here in Middlebury.
Nice. I’ve never tried Bikram, but I love hot yoga. I’d like to try it sometime – it’s fun to see what all kinds of yoga are like.
