I haven’t posted in a while because life has been completely insane. I feel like with the olympics there weren’t enough hours in the day. I would stay up way too late so that I could watch as many events as possible at night. My normal bedtime of 8:30-9 was pushed back to 11 or later for the past two weeks. That definitely takes a toll on my mind and my body. The weekends are normally a great time to recharge your batteries but the past couple of weekends have been crazy too. Either I set my alarm for way too early on the weekend to catch the marathon or we were hosting people for dinner, brunch, or the meals in between. Not that I am complaining. I love hosting and having people around us, but I am definitely burning the candle on both ends and am feeling the toll that it has taken.
This weekend and next I have a feeling are going to be relaxingly busy. If that makes any sense at all. I am heading up to Maine, sans Alan and Sirius to spend some time with my family. I am riding up with my parents and meeting my brother and sister in law in Maine. I am so excited for a few days of lounging by the ocean. The weekend after Alan, Sirius and I are heading south to the Cape for a long weekend to spend time with some friends and to celebrate a friends birthday. Again, I am very much excited for some beach lounging during that trip. I am also hoping that I will be able to pound the pavement along the ocean and get in some good runs in while on vacation. Who knows, maybe I will be able to convince my brother or sister in law to get in a good sweat session in with me. Nothing like bonding over some spilled sweat!
